Delivery Time

Plain fabrics: Stock items are normally dispatched either the same day or the next working day for next-working-day delivery. While our couriers are very reliable, please keep in mind that next-day delivery cannot be guaranteed.

Patterned fabrics: Approximately 1 week from order.

Made to Measure Products: Lead time typically 7 - 15 working days + shipping (UK: Next Working day, other countries: from 3 to 8 working days). See our current lead time estimate for made to measure products.

NOTE: In such a rare case that the fabric is out of stock delivery time can be up to 9 weeks, but please check with us unless we have contacted you already.

Natural fibre padded bedspreads are exceptionally low-maintenance. Because they are used as decorative layers, frequent washing isn't necessary—regular light care is usually all they need to stay fresh, plush, and smooth for years.

Routine Maintenance (All They Usually Need)

• Gentle Hoovering or Brushing: Vacuum the surface regularly using your hoover’s soft brush attachment on a low suction setting (or give it a gentle shake outdoors) to remove settling dust.

Washing & Cleaning Guidelines

• Dry Cleaning Recommended: For the absolute best results and to keep your bedspread perfectly flat and plush, professional dry cleaning is always our top recommendation.
• Careful 30°C Wash (Optional for Pre-Washed Linen): If you prefer to wash your pre-washed linen bedspread at home, it can be washed on a very delicate 30°C cycle using a mild detergent. Please bear in mind that even pre-washed linen retains minor residual shrinkage. Because the internal padding does not shrink, even a tiny contraction in the linen can cause slight puckering or subtle surface texture changes.

Important Considerations

• Fabric vs. Padding Dynamics: Our internal padding is dimensionally stable and will not shrink, but natural linen outer fabrics can still react to water. A home wash may lead to slight puckering as the outer linen tightens gently over the un-shrunk core.
• Fading of Printed Fabrics: If your bedspread features printed or patterned fabrics, machine washing can cause delicate inks to fade over time compared to gentle dry cleaning.
• Never Tumble Dry: Always allow your bedspread to air-dry flat. Heat from a tumble dryer will cause noticeable shrinkage and distort the padded shape.
• Avoid Spot-Treating: Try to avoid rubbing localized stains with water or liquid detergents, as this can soak into the padding, leave water rings, or cause uneven shrinkage in that single area.
