Easy to Love, Easy to Care For

Linen bedding is much easier to care for than many people think. There is no need for dry cleaning — linen loves a simple machine wash and becomes softer and more beautiful with every wash. Use a gentle cycle, mild detergent and wash at around 40°C, which is warm enough to clean well while still being kind to the natural fibres.

For best results, do not overload the machine and let your bedding move freely. Avoid fabric softener, as linen naturally softens over time. Linen dries faster than cotton, so remove it while slightly damp and air dry to finish. There is no need to iron unless you prefer a smoother look — we love linen’s relaxed, naturally crumpled beauty.

Why Choose French Flax?

French flax is prized for its long, strong fibres. When woven into linen, these fibres create a fabric with good structure, natural movement and a distinctive handle.

It is not a fabric that needs to look perfect. Part of its character comes from the small irregularities in the weave, the gentle creases after washing, and the way it settles over time. With use, linen becomes softer and more relaxed, while keeping its strength and substance.

For bedding, this balance is what makes French flax linen so appealing: breathable, enduring and full of quiet character. It gives the bed a calm, unfussy look that feels considered but never overdone.
